Old knife sheeth and some other stuff

Not sure what the long piece with the ornate design is and I love the knife thing it looks old to me any idea how old or any other info/guesses?

is the thing on top a gun barrel?

I was thinking that it could be but I'm not sure seams kind of light for a gun barrel so maybe a cap gun? I am more interested in the Knife thing. I think it looks awesome and can tell it has some age.

The 'knife' looking item...maybe a trim plate for something. Not sure that it's a sheath or anything like that...but I could be wrong. The ornate item is most likely a cap gun barrel. Probably one made by Hubley.
