Well I am an old member, but am new again. Just coming back from a 9 year break.
Didn't do any metal detecting during that time. My metal detectors were stolen. (A new v3i someone gave me, a new trx pinpointer, a new mxt pro which I bought and a beach hunter 300, and all coils to go with them) At one point I had 9, but sold a few, but most were stolen. The v3i,mxt pro, snd beach hunter 300 were reported stolen, but since I didn't have any serial numbers... nothing was recovered.
Just recently picked up a used v3i, but wasn't too register it in my name, now that Whites is gone does Garrett take care of the registration?

I hope you get the registration issue fixed. I still own a V3i and two M6 units. I will always keep them. I would call Garrett on the phone and ask them if I was in your position. Good luck. Garretts is stellar in customer service!

According to Centerville electronics, it is a no go. I will have to live with the guys name on my V3i

Guess it is a moot point since there is no warranty or support left anyway. I never registered mine back In 2010. I wonder what would happen if I tried.
