went to a park that I used to go when I have my garrett 1500. Really only scanning for some new jewery type stuff. Its an old area that has been detected too many times to think I would have a chance @ old stuff. I started by the basketball court finding tons of clad and a 1956 canadian penny. Then I moved toward where a snake stand used to be when I got a funny signal. The first thing I pulled was a 1999 penny. Then I swung over the spot again and had a dime signal. Out pops a 1917 merc then a 1943 merc. A foot over I dig up a 1957 quarter and 1919 and 1923 wheaties. I only had a hour and a half b4 I had to get ready for work but it looks like I have an area that can still produce some decent finds. $5.69 clad total no jewery...

If you can find that much clad then you are definately not in a worked over area. The parks I hunt will yield maybe $2.00 if you are looking for clad, and that much is a LOT for around here.

Great job on that old silver! :)

Nice day of hunting there! Congrats!
You told us what machine you used to use .....what machine did you change to?
It's always interesting to hear about the various machines being used.
