Hi everyone,

The other day our Treasure Hunters went back to were we found the Revolutionary War era bayonet. One of the guys found this very old pocket knife between 6-8" deep on a flat near the stream. After a quick google search, it looks like a style that was popular between 1750 and 1850, which could mean that it is contemporary with the bayonet. It measures 12 cm long. If anyone has any thoughts as to its origin or age, we would appreciate your comments! IMG_1108.JPGIMG_1110.JPG

That's a great find...all the pocket knives I have dug usually crumble soon after seeing "air". They never conserve well for me either. Your soil condition there is on this guys wish list.

Most of the ones I've found have fallen apart after being dug as well. This one has held up nicely.

Great finds. You guys are in a killer location. Hope to see more finds from you soon
