Hit a scraped up turf spot and lucked out with a 13 dimes and some other goodies. Buddy I was with surmised it was from a coin roll. Considering the clean surfaces but grungy edges me thinks he was 100% right!
The dimes came from one awesome visit... Funny but two other visits here I got skunked. So not bad going.

The second and third visits got the Franklin, wheat's (more but I accidently thru them in my wheat jar) and the cigar car token. Also got a great SF Exposistion token too. Thanks for looking and best in 2014!!

Whoa! Great finds! That's some gorgeous silver there, but I like the SF Exposition token, too! I'm in Carmel, by the way, so you must be in or near The City(?). In any case, keep up the good work and HH! :icon_thumleft:

Nice set of coins. I agree, the dimes were stacked on top of one another, so probably rolled.

Part of the demo'd scraped up location that yielded the goods. Wish it were more but there were a number of us on there. From a few months back when the weather was sunny and warm.
Thanks all for the great comments!! 8-) 8-)

The exposition token is usually aluminum. Is yours copper or brass? That would be interesting.

Hi Qball - Yeah many were I believe were made from brass (such as mine) and aluminum. But I haven't found anything on why and when the materials were chosen and used.
Thanks Gleaner1 - these were from the cigar boxes from the 30's-40's and I will look up the manufacture as I forgot the last time I checked.

Thanks all for the additional comments!!
