old silver ring w/blue stone

can anyone tell me what kind of stone this is? i was walking back to the car thru a baseball field, was'nt even swingin my M-D, just pushing it in front of me & then bam! sometimes you have to just turn it off in order to leave, lol. not this time

Sure looks like lapis lazuli(sp?) to me, nice ring. I like lapis more than turquoise, it's got a MUCH deeper blue. Does the stone have "silver" veins in it ??

Definitely Lapus!! Absolutely gorgeous ring!!
