Hello folks,

Now since I have found this forum and joined, maybe I can have some help on ID'ing this button... I found it back in the mid 1980's on my Dads land in Bosque County TX using my Garrett Master Hunter ADS III which I still have. It was found about half the way up the side of one of the high mesas that lie behind my Dads house. I have held on to it for all these years hoping I could get a proper ID on it one day.

Thanks for any help & thanks for looking!

I hate to be a kill-joy, but it almost looks like a suit-coat button off the 1950s to 70s modern suit-coats. I remember when I was a kid, my mom used to dress me up in something of a sailer/mariner's suit-coat for church, and it had buttons with military mottifs, anchors, or eagles or something on them. And there are also buttons called "sportsmans buttons" that only date to the 1870s-to-turn-of-century-ish.
