Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt (Updated)

Well I'm back. Here's the update from my second trip back to (mike's)
I brought my 4" coil as well and hit a couple more wheaties and 2 token's from local Bar's & Grill. No dates on the coins but pretty cool. I'm in the process of researching the 2 bars. I only spend about an hour today but will be going back with a friend to see if I can get more hit's alittle deeper, I have been getting signal's real deep but when I'm digging the hole's I'm coming uo empty????

Enjoy

Re: Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt

Sounds like you found a very nice homeowner, with a home in the right place. Great that he got some of the loot and you did, too. He will let you back on, unless he decides to buy his own detector (which he might do, since he watched the finds come out of the ground.) :help:
Keep us posted on what else you find from that site......sounds exCITing.

Love the hotel tag, never a bad day when you dig one of those.

Re: Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt

Hotel Tag!!!! Hmmm. The owner and myself think it's a builder tag. In St. Paul they are pretty common. If it's a hotel Tag wouldn't it have the hotel name on it?

Thanks for the thoughts

Great finds and I am sure there is more waiting for you. :icon_thumleft: Your site seems to have a nice little piece of history behind it.

Re: Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt

Nice finds. Love the old blatz beer thingy but never liked blatz beer :-\ Hopefully you can hunt there some more :icon_sunny:

Re: Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt

Very nice glad to hear someone having luck not so much here right now.

Re: Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt

Well thing's are looking up. I was just invited to come back and hunt his next door neighbor's as well. Very Lucky!!! I still have about Half his yard to work and I'm taking my smaller 4" coil along to see if I can get any better signal's. I passed up alot because of the dual signal's and chatter I was getting because of the sensitivity... But I'm still learning and I'm hoping for a barber out of this or even a merc..

Thanks everyone. I will keep you all posted.

Re: Old St. Paul District 1850's Hunt (Updated)

Hello everyone!! Thanks I added more picture's and have another date for this site. I'm hoping for some silver next time. But it's not looking to good. the token's were really cool. The one with the star's on it really got my heart pumping I thought it was a half cent or a 2 cent. but after I pulled it out of the hole I saw the 5 cent mark and the words good for. lol Oh well.
