I picked this up today at a garage sale for 50 cents...It's about 18 inches tall. Can anyone identify it for me?

I believe that to be an Olive Oil bottle. The tree on the base is a an olive tree. I think...Just a wild guess though. jgas

Thanks, you're probably right. But do you have any idea how old it is?

Sorry I didn't get back with ya...I would say a rough guess would be no earlier than 1870...(No pontil), up to around 1890. Looks hand blown to me with no seams. Just a guess though so sorry if I am way off. jgas

If the seams are up and down the bottle(hard to see) and if they reach all the way to the top of the bottle, that would mean a bottle around 1920 and up. If no seams or a seam that does not reach the top then that would mean 1920 to 1880's maybe 1870's. Hand blown stuff with no seams would be even earlier. That would be general information on most bottles but I am sure there are exceptions. Hope that helps a bit. jgas
