Got out today from 6-2 with james at a old permission and a new 1704 permission. First time out in 2 months and before that was the middle of may!
I got my oldest copper to date...
A 1701 William III
And my first 2 reale from mexico city 1782
Along with these coins I had 2 unknown coppers (one at 12-13"!) and I believe a kg2.
Two tombacs, a flat colonial designed button that's beat up, and a colonial 2 piece.
1890 Indian head penny and my first croatel bell.
If anyone can give any ideas on the coppers or croatel bell let me know! Thanks and HH
P.S some of this wouldn't be possible if I didn't have my new used tornado coil from john at JMT detectors
So thanks for the great prices and awesome business!
Zach

Awesome job with the old coppers and the two reales. The William III is a rare find in the U.S., and you just missed the 17th century. So I take it you like the NEL Tornado? I've been thinking about getting an oversized coil for my AT Pro for a while and would like to hear more about how it is working for you.

Thanks down! That's what I was told when I found it. Usually hibernias or kg1 is as far as coppers usually go around here. I've been aiming for the 17th century so when I finally saw it was 1701 out of the 1696-1701 mintage I was like damn! But still very very happy to have found it. I do really like the nel tornado but I believe it's only good for open fields and that would be about it. From the small experience I've had so far at least. It is definitely deeper than the stock, I'll tell you all that much.
I'll pm you some more info
Gl and hh!

nice, I'm still looking for that old silver. Hoping to find it before the year is out.

Well, I have a good feeling! Do some research if you don't. Old maps etc. Best of luck to you and HH
