A few years ago, that suggestion would have classified you as a crackpot.

When I was in school, we were taught that the ancient Britons were mindless barbarians who couldn't possibly have been involved in a global trading network extending as far as the ancient near east...

There was a book that came out a while ago about how Troy was really about Briton tin wars. Interesting concept.
