Well, me and Oldschool ain't been out much lately. Fields are pretty much planted, weeds are high, rain, you name it. But today we did get out to an old church for a little bit, and wouldn't you know it, Oldschool got a great Foster and Parry Grand Rapids store token. Most sites I looked at put it mid 1800's, like 1845-1860. I thinks it's pretty cool. All I managed was one Indian, 1893. HH all Dan

Very cool token, Oldschool! Looks to be in nice condition, too. :icon_thumleft:

An IHP from the 1800's isn't too shabby either.

Keep digging guys!

In the fall of 1845, Foster entered a partnership with Thomas W. Perry. The firm of Foster and Perry was continued until Jan. 1, 1855 at which time Parry retired. This timeframe suggests the date range of this token.

Here's one for sale for $35.00:

And here's some more history on that company:

I found one of the exact same tokens here in Oakland County last fall - I was wondering what it was. Nice finds! That business must have been pretty well established. It's an old token that's for sure,

Nice job, Ian
