Went out for a hour in a field I have been working. Found a nice large flat button with the shank loop. And then this strange greenish looking peice that has what looks to be two 3 leaf clovers. Any opinions appreciated. It was known there was Celtic presence hundreds of years ago. IMG_20190127_055604.jpg IMG_20190127_055622.jpg

Looks like a Celtic motif/design. Maybe some closer more detailed photos would help?

Unfortunately, no. Shamrocks as motive are quite modern. Don't know what it is, but i would date it 20thC.

Nice find. Looks like it was cut from a uniform sheet of copper. Not sure the ancient Celts had that technology. Could have been hammered, I suppose.
