was 59f degrees today, so I figured after 3 days of it hitting 100 here ,
I would be able to handle the temps. started getting humid after an hour so was time to quit.

Its has definitely been hot lately. Cant wait til we start getting some cool weather. Looks like your site has some interesting history. Clicked on the link and saw some of your finds from that area. Nice finds, no wonder you keep going back.

Yea This is one of my old standby spots.
I've been hammering it since the 70's so finds are not as plentiful.
I'm sure the woods surrounding it are worth hunting yet.
but I'm lucky if I have 2 weeks a year where they are accessible
not counting deep winter. weeds grow fast in the spring.

today I hunted the 2 foot wide area along the Highway

I'm so glad I don't get your heat. I know I would be unable to cope. I love rainy Britain.

Good on your getting out.
A little mud on the blacktop suggests damp earth around to help raise humidity besides the weather patterns bringing it in.
Interesting info. on the site.
If the reenactor's tent camp, some drops might be around.

Give me the heat over the cold any day..hmm,I wonder if that came being born in that Florida heat.:laughing7:

no that came from living here and getting so cold it felt like it took an hour or so to warm up
and stop shivering.

I' don't remember be'in that hot that I haven't been able to cool down in 5 minutes or so
in front of a fan, jumping in water, veggin' in shade or stepping in a business that has air condition.

I've gotten ill in heat.

but I never shook uncontrollably in it
