I think what might of happened at the site was something like this.......
A dog was digging for silver coins on the site, with a spoon.The dog was finding a lot and only had a little more area to go and the site would be cleaned out. The land owner spotted the dog digging and not filling the holes back in and went an got his gun. He shot the collar off the dog, and his gun broke in it pieces.
The Dog dropped the spoon and took off running with the silver coins only to leave one silver coin behind .

tex, i was also cleaning the clad I found last week, i tend to slack on the less shiny stuff. Those shop cloths are good for quite a few cleanings! Nice pickup though!!!

rumor has it someone just bought a new machine :wink: congrats :headbang:

yeah i got the new vx3.. i figured with the amount of time i have to hunt now a days this would be a good machine for me right now. I'll keep in touch with how i like it...

Congrats on the silver Den!! I'm in a silver slump....but I did get a 1907 Indian last night, and this one was actually in good enough shape to read all details!!

Look at Tex movin' up again....nice Jim....we gotta get out!!

I especially like the old dog tag! I've noticed that a lot of PA dog tags don't say "dog license" nor "dog tax"

my Guess the Word "Dog Tax" Went out pretty early
when They realized People hated paying Taxes on their dogs.

Something like "Vote for me,
I'll get rid of the Dog Tax" :wink: :wink: :wink:

So they changed it to License, Which also got Complaints.

Now you just have to pay to
"Register" Your Dogs :tongue3:
