Went for a two hour hunt and came home with some keepers. 9 wheats, a 1923 buffalo nickel, a Good for 5 cents token, and a super nice 1868 indian Head.
Grading it here it should be worth over $100.00!!!!!! YEEE HAAA!!!! I will have the coin guy look at it soon! Very sharp detail. Need to clean a little more dirt out of the nooks and crannies, but she is sweet! It looks better than the pics!

awesome IHC Mike, amazing condition!

Definitely a sweet coin Mike!! If thats not a hundred dollar penny then you just send it to me!! Congrats!!

I was pleased with the condition of my 1868 Indian until I saw yours! She's a beauty, and those other finds are great too.

beautifull coin! Must of been lost when it was new

Last year I dug two 68's and a 69' IH's, but the only good thing I can say about my finds was that they may make G4 grade at best, yours is beautiful, great find.

Sweet! I don't have a Redbook on me, but If it hadn't been dropped in the ground, I'm pretty sure it'd be worth a lot more than just $100 with that much detail. lol I know that it HAS been in the ground (even though it looks great), and who knows what it could be worth now, but I still like to think like that 8) Congrats!

Red book in vf20 $125, That is a very nice coin. Congrats on you find, I found my first $100 penney last week is was a 1931s it would have to grade au50 to match yours. They are fun when you get them home and find out what you have. Keep swinging that coil & have fun.

Don't use any kind of chemicals on it. Soap and water and your fingers (not fingernails) only. You don't want to use anything that may be abrasive.

Congrats, Mike, on a really nice '68 Injun!
