That is a beauty ..gut ripper ears on that one.
Nothing for size reference ..what's the length?
It looks like mabey some grinding in the notches.
The point to its left looks like an old style also.. I may think Greenbriar if it were here.

The only word that comes to mind is superlative both in material and form but why are some just made to get by and others the best of the best? Is one knapper better than the other or is there some special reason for the creation of a point such as this?

That's a BEAUT there Cosmo!!! I'm leanin towards a Snyders or Hopewell. It would look GREAT in any display.. CONGRATS.. HH

I agree with fishstick. It looks like a Hopewell type and a possible Snyders or a variant thereof. Definitely a killer piece.
