nice bottles casper .. I like the looks of that bottle on the right. Is that called a slug-plate?

no its not - have not tried to research them yet - one on left is marked New Bedford ma.

NICE BOTTLE FINDS THAR GHOST.

the clear one has clams in it that are larger than the hole - so they grew in there

I can see them now. That is so cool. :occasion14:

So, uhm... how do you get them out?
I think they are dead - will try and get all the muck out - probably just leave the shells as conversation piece

Very nice bottle finds!

bottle on left is by Hiram Wheaton co. and dates to around 1900 - 1909 - called "Whale water"
one on right is Charles T. Smith and from 1920 (s) - though they look like they would have had bottle caps
I found pics of them with wire and porcelain stoppers

Cool old bottles:icon_thumleft: were they found off a dock area?

Very nice bottles Casper, and they should make a great conversation piece.

Nice Bottles Casper! Have you ever found a Polly's Pop Bottle up there in your travels? Thanks!
