Jerry, I dont know man. I think I would have to get rid of the doll head. Fast. Good hunting
and good luck! JYD...

Jerry, I think that rod thing is a battery. I found one in a creek and I think thats what
I was told.

Those eyes....it would have ended up in the garbage pile if I would have found it :tongue3:

if only I knew what cellarhole hunting was about 20 years ago.....it upsets me all the places I used to see that are now cleared out and built over with new houses....their treasures lost forever :'( :'(

good luck on your next hunt

Hey Jerry

I think the lock is pretty cool! I think you're right on the carbon rod.

That baby looks to me like a real Buckeye fan!

Good to hear the mushrooms are coming there. We should see them up here in a few weeks too then.

Best of Luck,
Mark

came across a couple of rods like that, lightweight, low reading, assumed from some sort of battery.
Morels sure make an extra bonus to metallic finds ;D

I love that Stutz lock!
You have a sleeper there. I think that's worth some money to the right person!

"The Stutz Motor Company was a producer of luxury cars based in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Production began in 1911 and continued through 1935."

Jerry, the rods we dig around here are from the carbon arc street lighting. But they look thinner then the one you have there. (about 5/8th") and rounded on one end from burning down.
Ones thinner than that can be from the old carbon arc movie-house projectors.

Aurora, IL "City of lights"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurora,_Illinois

Aurora officially adopted the nickname "The City of Lights" in 1908, because it was one of the first cities in the United States to implement an all-electric street lighting system in 1881.

That lock is sweet! That bar looks like bar stock to make screws. I used to work on a automatic screw machine [insert pithy comment here] the bar looks just like that.
