Beautiful old copper...looks like a Liberty Cap 1794 :notworthy:

That is my favorite old copper!
 

It's not in the best of shape but at least it still has some details left on it. A nice find for sure. :icon_thumleft:
 

old ben franklin could have dropped that one......
 

Great save of a rarely seen date. I think there is enough detail that a copper specialist may be able to identify the specific variety of that date.
 

This is Awesome! I was just looking at this coin last night - I'm going to check the variety on this one. Yep, don't think you will find an earlier copper than this one. I really envy you guys that live on the east coast.

I can't tell if it is a Normal or High Relief variety - Red book shows mintage at 81,600 so pretty sweet find!
