Only one silver today....but it's a good one!

Back to the loyalist field again this morning. Conditions are dreadful! Can barely swing the coil and forget about getting it low to the ground! I decided to try an area that I haven't really done, and it paid off. Got a solid 09:46 on the etrac at about 8". (It was really about 5" but coil was raised up a few inches because of growth) Saw the sweet look of silver in the hole. I thought it was a quarter at first! 1816 Shilling :tu:

Thanks fellas. There's nothing better than being on an old site and getting a slamming silver signal at a decent depth. Then digging the plug and seeing that rim. It's exhilarating!!!!!

Great feeling when you realize it is not a quarter! I'm at about 6 or 7 modern silver out of old sites so one of these times it has to work out.

I've only ever found one modern silver from this site. It was a 1946 dime. Also modern coppers 1907-1941. They are usually found in the same area, so when a great signal comes up anywhere else, you just know it's gonna be good!

Yeah it's actually fairly new for me finding these somewhat out of place silver coins, but at least it's good for a few second rush.
