Muddy Feet,

It is a different color then what we find here in Maryland, which range from light to dark brown. It is thinner then our average pottery, but I would say it is definetlly prehistoric pottery. Also, it should have some evidence of particales of "temper" along the broken edges. Possibly crushed quarts, or oyoster shell, or other.
