Opinions please, Encrusted Silver Pine Tree Shilling from Saltwater

Hi All,
I got this encrusted PTS, looks like theres a solid core and some detail under there.
I am in a complete quandry as to how I should proceed.
NCS claims their methods do not result in a coin that grades 'Cleaned'
how can this be so they describe soaking in various chemicals.

of course expect a hefty fee.
Sedwick also offers 'restoration' using 'proprietory methods' and specialize in shipwreck coins, @ $150 per hr.
I am now considering just soaking it for a few months and enjoying it as is,
though of course I would rather have a coin with more visible detail.

Does anyone have experience with 'professional' restoration of encrusted silver coins ?
I would really like to hear some opinions on how you all would proceed,
especially from those who recover coins in similar condition from saltwater.

Oy vey! The potenial for such a great coin is there. Take your time in deciding how to proceed - don't rush it. I wish I could say "oh, that's easy just do..." but all I can say is take your time. It may be a while before you find the right method. Good luck.

seems that the options with a crusted coin like this
are 1) leave it alone
2) have it stripped with no patina left, either 'professionally'
or on your own.
I've had some communication with conservers of silver shipwreck coins
and this is the conclusion I've come too.
seems there's really no middle ground.

Well, if you have it professionally cleaned, the end result is almost certain to be better than what you started with, unlike that NCS Indian Head in the link you posted. But go to someone who has experience with Saltwater coins! It Can be done. The thing is silver, so it should turn out well. Sedwick is what I'd do.
