Organized Civil War Relic Hunting???

Can anyone please tell me if there are ever any organized Civil War detecting trips offered by anyone?

I know there are organized hunts over to England, and I may like to do that some day. In the meantime, one of my dreams is to spend a couple of days or more detecting for Civil War relics, so I thought I'd check to see if there are ever any organized Civil War hunts.

Do a Google search on "Digging in Virginia". That is the big organized CW hunt around here. It is a "pay-to-play" venture. You also have to sign up early because they only take a certain number of people.

I know there are others. Check some of the other treasure hunting/metal detecting forums.

The Treasure Depot has several each year and a forum to post finds

If you go to a organized hunt go too the DVI are the Blue and Gray hunt they are the best ones to go to.
