I have often used the 12.5 coil. It covers a lot of area quickly, and pinpoints real well.

I've used the 2500 for years with the imaging feature. On many occasion I've dug coin targets reading much larger than coin(B or C) just to find out it was two or three Quarters or a pocket spill. Silver bracelets will also give a big target reading.Saying that I don't total rely on size indication whether I dig the target or not. I decided last year to go to the 8.5 x11 DD coil on the 2500. It appears to go deeper and has a little better separation. Although I lost the imaging I'm not digging anymore targets because I started to dig larger targets anyway. Also if you run in Zero mode some targets that appear at first to be a coin, passing the DD coil several times over the target you get a random grunt telling you that it is rusted iron target. If there is a coin next to a piece of iron you can separate that also.I do have a 1500 hundred and use that at play grounds with the imaging head. Thats probably why I put the DD on the 2500 having 1500 . All I can say the 2500 with the DD coil is deadly machine not mention it made the machine some what lighter. I have considered buying a AT PRO but with the success of the 2500 DD and seeing some similarity's to the AT PRO I'm holding holding off for now.
