Does anyone know what beaches some of the finds on this website were found? I'm going down to Corolla in the beginning of May and again in August and I would like to at least have some hope of finding old Spanish coins.

Thanks

Just came back from a vacation that included a stop on Outer Banks. Was going to stay at the Corolla light house Inn but they were too expensive.

Did talk to the Inn keeper via email and they said basically...don't know about requiring a permit to use MD but try it. If you get in trouble, guess not.

I like that kind of advice. ;D

Stayed in Kill Devil Hills and found my first coin ever. Nickel in the volleyball sand pit. LOL

As far as I know, Currituck side of the OBX is fine to detect in (that includes Corolla). Its when you get down in Nags Head where they don't allow detecting.

Oh, and NJTher, good luck with the silver thing. If your down here, give me a call. Better luck finding the silver in a old homesite field than the beach these days. See my latest 1780 spanish silver here: http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,77522.msg566467.html#msg566467

Great find there Scooter...This time next week I'll be driving down to Corolla. Can't wait until Friday to drive down because then I lose a day so I'm leaving Thursday night after work. I hope I can find something worth posting.

Happy Hunting
