I topped off a bag today in a near by town, and bought the bag of halves.. I'm very happy with my results...all in all it came out to 34 40%s, 5 90%s, a load of random coins...one of the 90%s was a walker, and another was a 90% proof...A first for me! and a great random find was this amazing 1843 large cent...it would be in great shape if not for the small hole...but still another first! Anyone have any idea on value??
anyway....enjoy the pics!

Redbook on the large cent is about $30 without being able to really gauge the condition and assuming its genuine(and assuming there was no hole)..

Great bag, unfourtinately, the large cent is holed and improperly cleaned, it's still worth a few dollars... but a conversation piece :)

Keep in mind if those Mexican 10 Peso coins are from 1992-1995 the center part of the coin is sterling silver.

Tell us about the other junk in the last picture.

From the pic, I can tell:

Row 1: Mexican 10 pesos [1992+], tokens
Row 2:Mexican 20 centavos [1940s-1970s], Mexican 1 peso [1970-1983], Italian 100 lire [1955-1998]
Row 3: Greek 100 drachmas [1990-98]
Row 4: Greek 100 drachmas [1990-98]
Row 5: elongated pennies

I have been doing boxes of dimes lately, I cant find any boxes of 50 cent pieces anywhere, but one of the banks told me today when they fill a bag they will call me, is this a good idea, or do you think they are normally searched out? Im thinking I will buy it when its full, they said it normally takes a while to fill one, but I dont want to waste my time, just looking for information, from the experienced!!! thanks guys

Id do it! If it was a machine that a CRHer used it would be filled up all the time.
Do what i did. Go take $500 in halves and cash them in...that will fill up the bag if has over $500 already. Ive had great luck with bags! And what could you loose? Go do it tomorrow! It will give you some thing to smile about over the weekend!
HH!
