"Going to the valley with my sisters" stated the Hunny Bunny.
At first I felt deserted then it dawned on me! Yowzer a free day to do whatever. After a quick "puruze" (from my old copper days which means a cross between a patrol and cruising) the net and the metal detecting forums I came to a sudden awakening. Dam with everything I'm going out for quota. Long over due youz!

After packing Aqua Guru with his new ears, Quota Guru who doesn't like to be near high power lines and Zen Guru who was due for a work out it was off in my trusted Nogo Sojo. Of course he was thirsty and $32 later I pulled away poor from the filler station at PetroCan. First stop was aquatic. Kind of chilly and overcast but what the halibut. I was not coming home till quota was found. Was a few people in the lake and mind you one middle aged lady (about 35) who had a set of floatation devices whereas she would never sink! Um. Anyway into the drink which was a tad chilly. As I got deeper after netting a few coins and bits and bobs I could feel my voice going up a few octaves then reaching a crescendo whereas one would need a dog whistle to hear the frequency that I muttered. With the deed done I exited the water and changed for the land campaign feeling invigorated and a tad frisky.

Hit a few different playing fields and was delighted to hit one that did not display an open pit mine left behind by the infamous "Tank Trap Detectorist Terrorist." Man would I love to meet up with him. The rest I will leave to your vivid imagination!

Quota which has shunned me was had. Over "Q" and I felt enlightened like the blossom of Mother Earth who did not have to carry that extra weight of the coins that I had relieved her of. Over $7 added to the "Back to the UK in 2022 Fund."

On the drive home reality set in. A Charley horse in my groin...I didn't do it. Enough was enough so I stopped at the "smart shop" and relieved a "Beefeater" from his post and connected him with 3 liters of Cpl. Lemon Aide at home. Tinking dat once the "boss" gets home I'm in deep kaka...and no not the football player!

Nice Q but I was hoping you had pictures of the unique flotation the lady had. :laughing7:
