Got back down to the Sacto valley late Friday. Spent a couple days up in Lake county at the site. Was only able to spend about six hours working the site. Working with my screwdriver , excavated an area about the size of a dishwasher, with results that continue to blow me away. Still would like more input on time period. I have a theory , if correct would answer a lot of my questions. it has to do with the gray band about two feet in height at a depth of 19 to 21 feet that all this stuff is coming out of . Should get results back today ( Monday ) if the gray matter is ash or not. will post info as soon as I get it . In the mean time , here is some pictures of what I have cleaned up. still have a few to do, will post them as soon as I can. 20180430_101838.jpg 20180430_101451.jpg 20180430_034533.jpg 20180430_034142.jpg 20180430_034222.jpg 20180430_034525.jpg 20180430_035126.jpg 20180430_040004.jpg 20180429_012906.jpg 20180429_011848.jpg First two pictures should have been rotated 90 degrees

Are you mining obsidian or are these worked pieces? I must have missed your previous post...
