PA Turnpike Rest Stops ?

I was driving the turnpike last week and was curious if anyone ever tried MDing at the rest stops (old HoJo's/Esso stations)? I know when I was a kid (yea,they had cars then) we would stop there and picnic outside, they had tables and pavilions. Here is a link to some of the turnpike history. Let me if anyone tried this.
