Panning for Gold and Metal Detecting (Where?)

Hi Guys!
It's been a while, but I'm getting back into treasure hunting

I've got my White's Coinmaster up and running and my gold panning equipment, but have moved since my last postings.
We now live in the Aguanga/Anza area. Does anyone know good areas for gold panning/metal detecting? Riverside county is where that area is.

We were thinking De Luz canyon - but want to know if anyone knows any other cool spots.
