the matching buttons are us military"great seal buttons" --in use since 1902 :wink:

the harp one might be old musicains or irish corp button. cw era ish

the two hole bone or shell buttons are also old as is the larger 4 hole bone one with the ridge aound the edge

Yes I researched my large one, but came across the small one he found =] Too neat !

I'm glad you found out what the T shaped one were. I just found one of them in Campwood Tx. while on the Uvalde hunt. I had no Idea what it was. Looks like some nice finds you Paw Paw gave you. Now you need to find where he was looking a give those places a visit. Good luck.....

I found one of them while I was on my Ghost Town trip with my buddy.... I had no clue what it was, it looks like some sort of 'tag'... But now that the picture is posted and I mentioned to my paw paw what they were and he said that was exactly right !

He found the majority of the buttons and stuff in his back yard in town....After some sand was poured he said...

Awesome collection, I love to find small odd ball trinkets like that. Half the fun is trying to figure out what the heck they are!

There is no writing , but it is a very nice piece and cleaned up well ! It was a bit tarnished....Thanks for the comment ! :tongue3:
