Does anyone here have any comments on the PawPaw?

I have a number of PawPaw trees on the property in the woods. I have not had a chance to get any as when I am there I am most often cutting firewood and dont think about the fruit.

I was at an auction a few years ago and when I parked in the farm yard I was close to a row of 3 pawpaw trees and noticed the fruit laying about. These were much smaller than the trees in my woods.

thanks

I planted these about 15 years ago after reading about the fruit then, in ONE area of our woods and they have spread like crazy.

I had read the Andrew Moore book; Pawpaw: In Search of America’s Forgotten Fruit

I have spoken to many older folks in the area, like in the late 70s and 80s. But as of yet, not many younger who have tried the fruit.
