Funny thing about this drop.. The oldest coin is a 1963d memorial and is in the best shape. The newest is a 2004 mem and is barely ledgeable ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1460432692.379725.jpg

Thanks for sharing! The 1963 is made of copper which can last hundreds of years in the ground. The 2004 is made of zinc which can last months in the ground.

It's pretty easy to tell which cents are copper when they come out of the ground. The copper cents won't cut you and make you bleed!

I tumble mine, and the zincs degrade further when tumbling.....

The zincs will be the first to dump! The coppers? Well, they are worth a little bit above face value in copper content. I hoard them - you just never know.

Those modern zinc cents are THE worst coin ever minted imo. The start decaying rapidly the moment they hit the dirt.
