Did hunt in the woods today around the former Warren Cotton Mill area. This siite and its operations was abandoned in the early 1920s after having been an active mill during the 1800s. Much of the operations and town are under water once Baltimore City purchased the land and flooded the river valley for the city water supply. This was my first time there, so much of my time was discovering structures after having reviewed 'turn-of-the-century' maps. Many areas are 'iron-infested'. Despite locating about a half dozen stone foundations, a stone-lined spring and a stone-lined well the meaningful finds were limited. I've listed five items here: a Winchester No.12 Repeater that dates 1927 -1941, a piece of horse tack (rivet with leather), what appears to be a cufflink, a ladies pin that appears to have been gilded (pin missing and most of turqouise paint gone from obverse), and the largest square nail of the day at a whopping 4". Better days to come.
