The county visiting nurse stopped by a while back and asked if she could come in and discuss my health. So we went into the living room and sat down and discus health for a while. The phone rang and I excused myself to answer it, and though I tried to end it quickly, it went on for several minutes before I could hang up.
When I got back to the nurse, she started apologizing for eating all the peanuts in the candy dish on the coffee table. She was so sorry, and she hadn't had lunch, and before she knew it, they were gone.
I recalled that there had been quite a few nuts in the dish, and understood why she was a bit embarassed. But I told her that it was really not a problem, that I couldn't eat peanuts anyway, and explained to her that I could only suck the chocolate off of them.
She hasn't been back in months, I wonder why she doesn't stop here anymore....
