I found this pelican button but I'm not sure exactly where it's from. Here are a couple others as well.

That my good friend is not a Pelican button, but rather an Artillery button possibly war of 1812. What is the backmark on the button and is the shank still attached?

Very nice US Artillery button, circa War of 1812. Some say they are militia, but are definitely US as opposed to the British button you found previously at this site. Whatever happened at this site, there was obviously a military presence, and you are reaping the benefits :thumbsup:
 

Looks like a great spot, keep digging there are some nice finds so far!
 

That button is pre-war of 1812. c. 1808.
