Welcome from the UK.

Very nice find & great artistic shots. If I had one I think I would be doing a similar thing.

Is there any special reason why they used a clear stone?

What a beautiful find! My mom found one in Shimek State Forest here in Iowa, it is black tho. Another relative found one about 20 miles away that is identical to hers but people were sure one if his friends tossed it in front of him as a joke. Since there are two of the same I'm sure they are real. I've always thought that the Native Americans probably found some free time and wanted to try out different materials, it's just human nature to try to be the best at what you do.
