Well, there isn't much on it other than it was "on the northwestern bank of buttonhook bay". IE: What is now Farragut State Park. I reached out to the Park to find out what the current standards are for metal detecting out there. Last time I was there, there was no fee, and we brought what we found to the info desk - only to have the clerk end up destroying everything but dumping it on their back counter without a care in the world. Filed a complaint to the Ranger who authorized my metal detecting. Never saw that clerk again.

I want to try to find the area where Pend Oreille City was, but haven't gone out there yet. Has anyone else tried to find this old site? It's from approx 1865 - 1874, but it had a hotel, saloon, and 5 houses, so it did prosper for a time.

Would love to hear back from anyone else who may have gone searching for it. There was an old building foundation towards one of the beaches, but I can't remember if this was it, or if it was one of the now razed areas they rebuilt into campsites. ;_;
