Sorry, but those are all natural features on that stone. The hole should be round for one thing.

A little disappointing... But I sure do like all the knowledge and opinions about these "rocks". ☺

Don't get discouraged. We have all found things we got excited about, only to find out later that it wasn't what we thought. A long, long time ago, I found two huge Spanish rowels(the twirley things on spurs. I was so happy and I wanted to sell them to a museum. I was on our friend's ranch and when I showed them to him, he informed me that they were mailbox decorations that he bought at a hardware store and attached to the mailbox. His wife ran over the mailbox and he had to buy a new one. He asked for the rowels and I helped him put them on his new mailbox. Don't give up. L promise the finds will come. As for your object, natural or not, it could have been found and used by someone a long time ago. It attracted you, didn't it? Keep hunting and good luck...

Thanks for the encouragement... As they say " it's in the eye of the beholder". ☺ I enjoy my rock finds and will continue to post(love this site) that's how we learn and with that, any referrals for information on artifacts so I can learn on the mean time?
