I would like to know what year i should be keeping while looking through pennies. I am keeping all the ones in the 60's and older. Im new at this and would like to know more about it. Thanks.
Some serious collectors have high grade registry sets, I do alot of varieties myself. Rare doubled dies ,transitional cents etc. Some peopel just do a basic BU date set and eventually have to focus on the expensive keys. Its all up to the collector really, but I think the real value is in the varieties.
Here's a latest find of mine.. These are varieties...and often overlooked my many collectors , which gives great insight to search for them amd pay normal coin prices.
That's cool i bet they are hard to find. I don't have good eyes for that unless i got a magnafin glass. I have a penny i just found that when they struck the penny part of the metal didn't form the way it should of.
