PENNY SKUNK BOX

Picked up 2 boxes from a bank today.

First box was solid with about 15 wheats and 18% copper.

Second box, 7 rolls thus far and ZERO coppers. Wow, it looks like a bank somewhere is hoarding copper.

I hoard the coppers as well.

But, I am thinking that a bank or financial intermediary is hoarding coppers. How else could a whole box be all mixed coppers. The way I see it, zinc dumps should get mixed in with other pennies. But I'm not sure. I know that some people on another forum have been complaining of skunk boxes and it seems to be a regional thing. As in, on regional financial intermediary is culling out the CU. Hmmm.

Just got a Brinks penny box that had 15 coppers in it total, no wheats....now that sux.

I never get boxes, I only buy bags from the coin machines, I average 40% copper

Just this past weekend my husband ran a box through his Ryedale.......5 coppers. That was the first time he has experienced that.

I got a brinks box a week ago that was mixed dates but no copper coins.
