Permits for MDing Public parks?

Does anyone know the rules in georgia for public parks? Are there metal detecting permits? I thought I heard someone mention a mding permit once. Any fellow Georgia MDers in here? I am just outside Atlanta.

well.........the etowa indian mounds seem like a good place.but they dont let you.maybee if you get a permit you could get some stuff.but they wouldent let you keep it! especilay with that mean old lady with black hair.

Maybe if you let Sonny read to you  or spank his butt (if your a millionaire) with a new industry in his home county you might get the good ole boy "OK" .
