Went out to a hammered old park and tried to pick up some kind of ring on the side of a shaded hill by a stream. It was about a two hour hunt and the sterling ring came 3/4 of the way through the hunt. I dug down 9" and kept getting the screw cap reading, but then noticed it was a little more toward the side of the hole about 6" down. Immediately after loosening some of the dirt, I saw a ring come out with the dirt that I had moved. The ring was broken and missing a stone, but I will take it. Thanks for looking!
