This find may have had an organic origin; but, though the images are good, it strikes me as beyond identification.

Indiana is just loaded with invertebrate fossils. I always favored the southern half of the state because it is more rural and scenic. Here is a geological map of Indiana which may help in identifying the things you find. Good hunting!

we also live in southern Indiana--finding many sea fossils, and fossils galore from diff. eras, along with many artifacts;learning the Indians used hard fossils as tools also!!
