Picked up $90.50 in halves this morning and found a wier half

I had not stopped by this branch in about 2 or 3 weeks so I decided to see what the tellers might have gotten in. The teller I walked up to had nothing but she asked the drive through teller and she had n rolls and one single halve.

I picked up a 3 nice silver halves

And a 1974 no idea were it was minted. At first I thought it might be silver proof but it did not sound right and the color is not really right IMAG0366-1.jpg

I looked a little closer and the frosted profile in really caused by the plating wearing off. May be someone had made a necklace out of it at one time.

Boy I cannot spell "weir"

There seems to be a rash of phony silver halves dated 1974

Humboldt has a post about a 1974 P "silver" halve he found
