That place, the mansion house, honestly was a complete dump on the inside..but before they tore it down i know derfler's had an auction of the contents of the building...loads of antiques esp. nazi items were there (kind of makes you wonder what was going on there)..

I Missed that auction

But Pine grove was Heavy into the klan at one time.

My understanding The Gun Club field
at the end of town
where you Turn to Head over the Mountain
Was their Meeting Place.

A few Short years ago A few of them Showed up in Full dress
to the hegins Pigeon shoot.

So it wouldn't surprise me If the owner was a member

The pond i am thinking of is more in the more in the oakgroave/suedberg area and it is on the suedberg side of I81..near chapel road..there is a string of 3 ponds and the one that i am talking of is just up the road from it..i looked at aerial images and from what i remember in my mind the area surrounding the pond is much more overgrown and "rustic"..i believe it is on private property though..
i know of two other possible cache locations in pine grove one a family story and the other is behind the high bridge damn

I Have heard a story of somone in the 70's
They posted it in an Old Treasure Magazine.

They stopped at the Southbound rest stop
& Got out with a Long Range Locator

It pointed into the woods
& took them to what would
have been the Top of Chappel Road.
Once there they Found a Cache.

Take that With a Grain of salt since the
Person & The LRL Producer
Were Both from the williamsport Area.

Not Familiar with a Cache by the High Bridge

but am Sure there are Many Indian Caches
at the High Rocks.

Some From the raids During the French & Indian war Era
