I've seen those pink sunsets once and awhile, but not
very often . I've always wondered what causes it to give a pink hue to the sky ??

I will venture a guess that the ocean has something to do with it?

Maybe? I saw some here from the mountains looking over the flatlands and the setting sun was shining on the clouds to the east, making them look pink. I posted some pictures of it here sometime ago.
