At about 6:06 a.m. on March 12, 1960, I woke when I was being tossed
from side to side in my bed. I ran outside. My neighbor was screaming that
the world was ending. I looked up to see a man falling and his parachute
was on fire. Another man was floating with his shoot fully opened. The sky
was full of smoke and falling debris.

A B-47 Stratojet bomber exploded at low level over Little Rock . It exploded
13 minutes after takeoff from Little Rock Air Force Base, raining death and
destruction on two separated residential areas.

Three of the four crew members were killed and two civilians were killed
in their homes. One crewman parachuted to safety.

That's some neat but sad history tabdog. Exactly how close was your house to the actual crash site? I can't imagine waking up to a scene like that.
