Hey Friend!

So the wife and kids want to go to Colorado for vacation this summer. So seems like a good time to do some panning and find some color. But as we are in Texas I have no idea where to go. I suspect we will spend 3 or 4 days panning.

So this brings me to my questions.

Does anyone have suggestions on where we can go and actually be successful?

Do we need any permits or permissions for areas you suggest?

What equipment should I bring or purchase for this adventure?

Thanks in advance guys/gals. I appreciate your knowledge, time and comments.

David

You need to search google for public prospecting locations. There are some, but everything else you are going to be around will be covered by private land or mining claims.

Yes indeed, happy to help.
I’m sure other here can also chime in if you have specific questions. Or check out my Facebook group full of Colorado prospectors. It’s also called “Finding Gold In Colorado” ...of course!
